Hello everyone, now let's talk about one of the deadly sins, pride. Pride is a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfication derived from one's own achievements, the achievments of one's close associates, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired. But that is the meaning of pride from oxford dictionary. Pride is a feeling of self confidence and filled with arrogance. As the deadly sins, pride is something that can kills you.

Why can pride kill you? The answer is simple, because pride will result jealousy in other people's heart and pride can blind you. If you have too much pride of what have you done, other people will get jealous. The jealous people is sometimes the one that you lower or making fun of when you show your pride. Imagine, you are a wealthy man or woman, it's optional and you are so rich that you can even buy a country. Because of your money, you buy a country, let's just say you buy Indonesia (just an image, not a real thing) and then you show to your friends how good you are. You've become a smug or a douchebag (pick one, it's optional) and it makes you don't care about everything but yourself and forget the people from Indonesia. And then, one week later you make fun of Indonesian as your slaves. As the result, you're dead in the hands of revengeful Indonesian. How about that? A happy ending right? (For Indonesian) Maybe. But that's why pride is one of the seven deadly sin, because it kills you.

Actually, you need pride in your life. For a liberal country like USA, or for a democracy country like Indonesian? I don't know. But, for a religious people out there, you must've realized that everything you get from this world is a gift from God. I realized it as well. So don't get too full of yourself. Because what you have in this world isn't fully yours.
