Hello guys. I'm going to cut the chitchat and on to the topic for some post. It's just I'm running out of time. Now let's talk about respect. First of all, what is respect? In oxford dictionary, respect is a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. I will talk about these things about why do we respect someone who has higher ability, quality or achievements, but one more is position.
First about respect to someone who has abilities higher than yours. First of all, every human has different abilities and all the same portion in each ability. It's about the discovering or finding a new abilities that different in each humans. Someone maybe train their hardest to become a singer and the others train to be a musician. We should respect these talented people because they might be better than us. Everyone is different and even if their talents are lower than us, we should respect them as well because they still work their hardest to reach that level. And we should respect their effort. Remember to always respect people whatever their talents are.
Second is about the people with higher quality. It's almost the same as position but quality is more to influence to them, not to the others. People who have higher quality than others is what you called maybe smart, gentleman and noble. People like that is usually the ones that have the bigger quality than others. But don't judge people by their outside looks but the inside. That is true quality of a person.
Next is the achievements. Always respect everyone that has reached something in their life. Either it's just a spelling bee champion until the International Math champion, they are all try their hardest to reach their position. Even just the competitors who lose, they might be the chosen one to represent school or something. You have to respect because they work their hardest and reach their position. Remember, effort is more important than the result. Whatever the achievements of a person made, you have to respect them for their effort.
And lastly the position. These means you have to respect the elders and your leaders. Why elders? Because they are more experienced than us and they are the one that teaches about everything. You have to respect your leaders because they have to be respected. The leaders are the one that drives you forward. It's an obligation to respect your leaders.
What about the bad leaders? Do we need to respect them? No. The only thing that sickens me is people that uses their position to torture and do bad things to the others. You don't have to respect them, even if there is a gun pointed to your eye. And remember to respect everyone if you want to be respected. That is always the problem of many people. They want to be respected but not respecting anyone. If it happens, just let it be. God always see us in our life. If we don't respect but wants to be respected, make sure you are ready for your karma here and afterlife.
What about you? Do you respect the others? Do you want to be respected? Start from yourself, not from the others.
